XRP Supply Release & Issuance Tracker
Measure the velocity of XRP entering circulating supply through escrow releases and net treasury outflows.

Issuance Velocity
Below Expected ReleaseNet Market Release (Issuance Proxy)
Total treasury decrease from Ripple Labs, circulating in the active market. Hover to see USD value.
Average Daily Outflow
/ day
Velocity of token outflow per day. Higher velocity equals accelerated supply release.
Net Escrow Flow
1.00B XRP
Total supply permanently unlocked and released from ledger time-locked contracts.
Overall Strategic Outflow
Combined reserve balance decrease across all strategic vaults (exchanges, platforms, funds).
Ripple Labs Custody Vault Reserves Trend
A visual trajectory of total vault reserves (Liquid + Escrow combined) during the 30D period. Downward slopes correspond to supply expanding to the market.
Why Treasury Outflow is Issuance
All 100 billion XRP was minted in 2012. Ripple Labs, as the primary beneficiary, holds significant reserves in proprietary wallets. When Ripple sends XRP out of custody to exchanges, institutional buyers, or operations, it transitions from locked supply into active circulation. Therefore, treasury custody decrease is a highly accurate quantitative proxy for token issuance.
The Escrow Mechanism
In December 2017, Ripple committed 55 billion XRP into 55 cryptographic escrow contracts on the XRP Ledger. Each month, 1 billion XRP is released from time-locks. Ripple uses a portion of this for strategic sales and locks the surplus back into new escrow contracts, extending the unlock window over years to maintain market predictability and check supply expansion.
Interpreting the Deviation
The speedometer measures how much supply Ripple is releasing compared to historical expected rates. A Below Expected (green) result indicates supply expansion is decelerating, meaning fewer tokens are entering the market, often a bullish macro condition. An Above Expected (orange) result indicates supply release is accelerating.
